Hi beautiful souls!! It has been so long, but I am back! We all have experienced this pandemic differently, but we each felt the changes it has had on our new norms. I would love to create a conversation on how we are dealing with life. We all have things we can improve on, so it is important we take time to reflect and execute, so we can create the best version of ourselves. Life is so fulfilling when you are at your best.
To create my best life, I am focusing on improving three things: having patience, being present, and prioritizing peace.
Having more patience will help when reacting quickly under pressure or dealing with passionate issues. I understand patience as an ability to avoid reacting premeditated or irrationally in challenging situations. I am practicing deep breathing to help with my patience. This has helped me slow down in a moment, reanalyze, and become more clear-headed.
Secondly, I want to be present, it is so easy to get caught up in our surroundings. Life is too short not to focus on what you have in front of you. Take time to enjoy the little moments. I incorporate this into my daily routine by putting my phone down and creating more engaging conversations with my friends and family.
I am prioritizing my peace; by removing ideals of perfectionism. It was difficult to fully understand how to accept all challenges and obstacles as just a normal part of life. However, once I did, there was no pressure to be picture perfect; then suddenly the anxious feelings dissolved. I continuously do this by getting curious and trying things I love while allowing myself to make mistakes.
My life has been full of so much joy since focusing on these parts of my life. I hope these can also be a tool for you in your path to the best version of you! Please share any areas you have been working on with how they helped you. I would love to hear it.
